Investing in your wellness
Although the journey can get stormy at times, we always have this inherent power to shift our sails and take control by moving in a new direction. It is my honor and my pleasure to walk with clients as they venture on the expedition of human experience as they know it.
This is your story, write it your way, with your language and your symbolism.

You are the author, embrace your ability to create a new reality today; Victor E. Frankl says it best: "Between stimulus & response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom".
Individual Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is offered individually at Golden Spiral Counseling.
If you use insurance to pay a percentage of services, fees for therapy may be processed through a third-party company (Alma) or through other HIPAA compliant payment systems for private pay.
In-network therapy costs will be determined by insurance benefits. It is your responsibility to inform myself and any third party processing your claims if an insurance changes or if you elect to a different plan within your insurance. Not providing adequate notice of insurance can result in being billed without insurance at the private-pay rate. Sessions cancelled in less than a 24 hour time window and or no-showed are subject to a late cancellation/no show fee of $110 per missed session.
If you choose to not to use insurance, due to lack coverage or for other reason, the private-pay rates (last updated 5/1/23) are as follows and each of these services are available on a sliding fee scale:
Initial Intake, 60-90 minute session - $150.00
Psychotherapy, 55 minute session- $140.00
Psychotherapy, 45 minute session- $110.00
Psychotherapy, 30 minute session - $80.00

Please note: I am NOT a Medicaid provider. If you have Medicaid coverage that includes mental health services, I am not able to offer mental health services to you.

GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE: A requirement of the No Surprise Act mandates that I must ask you if your have health insurance, a group health plan, any federal care program and/or health benefits plan under a Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) Program. If you do, I must ask if you’d like to use these benefits to pay for your care. If you choose not to utilize your insurance benefits, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” for treatment expenses. Additionally, if you do not have insurance or health benefits, you are considered a “self-pay” or “uninsured” client; this also activates the need for a Good Faith Estimate. This document will contain an estimated expected cost for all non-emergency services regarding your mental health care. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Keep a copy for your own records. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call the Colorado Division of Insurance at 303-894-7490 or 1-800-930-3745.
